Wellness Tips Using Feng Shui
Finding your center and your personal definition of wellness does not have to be a struggle. Too often, we believe that changing certain parts of our lives needs to be a battle for the ‘good’ to win out, but this is far from the case.
With Feng Shui, you can easily adjust not only the energy of your current situation, but also put into place the adjustments needed to create a nourishing space for your future.
Start Feeling Centered Today
The first thing you need to do when you are feeling unwell is to ask yourself if you already know the reason why. Though we might complain about certain things that happen in our lives, we might not always want to make the connections to the answers we’ve been looking for.
But in order to have a happier life, you need to be honest with yourself Chances are good that you already know what needs to be changed or adjusted in your life.
Let’s look at the various energy centers of the rooms of your home, start from the doorway and moving in an octagon clockwise.
• Career, Life Path
• Knowledge, Wisdom
• Family
• Prosperity and Wealth
• Fame
• Marriage and Love Relationships
• Children, Creativity
• Travel and Helpful People
• Health – in the center of every room and of the house
If you look around your home right now, you can see what parts of each room are in disorder and you can walk around each room to see what parts just feel ‘off’ to you – while some might call this intuition, you are going to be the best judge of your home’s energy, even if it’s not an exact science.
Take notes of the places in your home where you see the most clutter and mess. Then compare these notes to the various energy centers of your home to see what you need to work on in order to feel better about your life.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that you need to rush out and change everything all at once – that might be more stressful than you need it to be.
Instead, try to find the energy centers that are seemingly the most off balance and focus on those first. Over time, you’ll want to work toward getting all of your home balance, but one step at a time for now.
Continuing Your Peaceful Wellness
To create a sense of wellness and balance, you will want to make sure you follow these simple Feng Shui tips:
• Try to balance all of the elements in your rooms – If you can, try to have something from each element group: water, wind, fire, earth, and metal. This will help you balance the different sorts of energies. For example, you might add a fountain to your office as well as a stone garden around the fountain and maybe some chimes, a candle and something metallic.
• Look to keep your corners and other sharp edges soft – Try to limit the visible corners of your rooms in your home. This means you might want to add folding screens or plants in the corners to help ’round out’ the room and make the energy flow from one part of the room to the next instead of simply ‘attacking’ you from the corners.
• Try to limit the amount of furniture in your home – When you have too much furniture, you might have physical troubles moving from one part of your home to the next, but the energy you are trying to manage is also going to have a tough time moving around. Make sure there is plenty of space in your home.
• Surround yourself with images of peace and balance – Look for pictures and artwork that makes you feel calm and relaxed. You don’t want to choose high action pictures that might upset the delicate balance of your wellness. You can save these sorts of pictures for your exercise room or another high energy room.
• Keep your doors open – This will help keep energy flowing throughout your home, which allows your energy to be balanced and mutable. If you must close some doors for safety reasons, this is fine, but try to find ways to open them from time to time to help remove the stagnant energy that builds up.
• Change things up from time to time – Just as you want to restore energy to your life, you also want to keep the energy at a higher level where it can help you in your life. To do this, make sure your home is redecorated (if only a little) multiple times during the year. This will make sure the home is always in a state of energy growth.
• Clean your home frequently – When you take the time to carefully clean your home, you will ensure that your energy is positive and that you are removing any stifled energy. You want to use natural products, if you can, to ensure that you aren’t introducing negative energy with the chemicals in many household products.
• Surround yourself with beauty – If you don’t absolutely adore things that are in your environment, how will you ever feel happy or healthy? Try to find things that not only worth your Feng Shui goals, but that also make you smile or that bring a fond memory to mind. When you are surrounded in beauty, you can retain a sense of inner peace.
• Fix what’s broken or leaking – When you have things in your home which are broken, you are telling yourself (and the energies around you) that you don’t care if certain parts of your life go unfixed. Stop that sort of thinking now by looking for things that need to be fixed and fixing them: squeaky doors, leaky faucets, etc.
No matter how you might measure your wellness level now, you can always improve upon the happiness you have in your life.
After all, you’re worth it, aren’t you?
