Help Your Career Take Off
Everyone wants more from their job, but what can you do to get more? Even
though you might be hard worker and someone who is really good at what they
do, you might also be doing things that are reducing your ability to get
ahead. In the practice of Feng Shui, energy is what can help make or break
your career path. Here are some things you can do to ensure your success:
When
you think of success, you probably think of bright and energetic colors –
like red or green. And while these colors are associated with wealth and
prosperity, black is actually the color that's more often related to career
advancement. Try to have a few items of this color in your office – that
shouldn't be too difficult to do.
We've
all heard of the idea that success finds you, but if your doorway to your
office or workspace is cluttered, you are stifling the possibility of this
happening. Make sure your door opens easily and that it stays open most of
the time so that the positive energy can enter.
Anything that's old or broken should be removed from your workspace
immediately. These items are associated with stifled energy that can then
move into your career decisions and path. If you can fix these items,
that's all the better.
Plants and other living things in your workspace can help to encourage
positive career growth as well. Of course, you will need to keep them
strong and healthy, so be sure to water them and take care of them as
directed.
In
the laws of attraction, like attracts like. So, if you want to increase
your stature at your company, you might want to make sure you are
surrounding yourself with successful people. Be around those who have the
positions that are want, thus encouraging that positive energy to yourself.
In addition, you will want to dress as though you have these higher
positions to encourage the energy of success.
Your
resume might be something that you only look at when you're considering a
new job, but in learning about Feng Shui, you can see it as an active tool
for your success in your job right now. This piece of paper or this file
should be constantly updated and revised as you learn new skills. In doing
so, you will be looking at your career as something that grows and changes.
Water
is the element that's used to encourage success in Feng Shui. By including
a water fountain or a picture of water, you will increase the flow of energy
in your career as well as in your current workday life.
Remember too that anything that reminds you of a lower position or a job
that you don't want to have again should be removed from your workspace.
This might be old assignments and office supplies to pictures and other
memorabilia. You want to encourage new growth, and that doesn't happen when
you hold onto the past.

you can, move your desk to a position that faces the door. This will let
you welcome in success and new opportunities in your career.
