Your Front Door’s Color Matters in Feng Shui
The front door of your home is what gives your guests
the first look into not only your home, but also your energy. In the
practice of Feng Shui, the door is the mouth of the chi, or the life energy
of the home. When this part of the home is not addressed, it can stifle any
new energy from coming into the home, while also lowering the energy of
anyone who might walk into the house. Thankfully, there are ways to ensure
your door’s energy is high and welcoming.
Brighten Up the Color
Using colors like purple or red will help your home’s
chi be high as well as welcoming. You may want to use muted colors,
however, so as not to keep the energy from getting out of control. Try
using something that coordinates with the rest of the colors of the home in
a way that is appealing, yet inviting. The door should be colorful enough
that it is easy to recognize from the street, while also being bright enough
to attract energy and to give energy to the people as they walk in.
Keep Your Door Clear and Visible
One of the things you will also want to keep in mind
when you are thinking about changing the color of your door is to keep that
door visible to the outside world. Make sure that no bushes or trees are
obscuring the view of the door from the outside world. Doing so limits the
possibility of energy leading into your home and helping to add positive
energy. You will also want to make sure the walkway that leads up to the
door is one which will be easy for a person to find as well as to walk. The
path should be clear and it should be free of cracks or unlevel areas.
Your door is the pathway into your home and the way
energy comes into your living space. By adding a brighter color to this
area, you will attract positive energy into your life, each time the door
opens up to the world.
