Finding Feng Shui and
Love
When asked what they
want out of life, many people come up with the same answers, money, success,
and prosperity. The lucky will say love. Without this key element to life,
the rest pales in importance. In the ancient Asian philosophy of Feng Shui,
the focus is on created harmony and balance in all areas of life. These
people were smart enough to know that not just one of the life elements were
important on their own. You need a good balance of the all of them to
achieve the greatest serenity and understanding of life. The best way to
add Feng Shui into your life is one element at a time. While there are many
aspects to consider when combining Feng Shui and love, here are a few ideas
to get the ball rolling towards your new love filled life.
In Feng Shui and
love, the focus is on the love center of the home, which is in the far right
corner of the home as you enter or in the far right corner of each room as
you enter. It is vitally important to energize this area with all of the
positive chi possible. The element associated with love is earth. Feng
Shui practice suggests placing some type of earth item in this location.
You can place a rock or crystal, rose quartz is an excellent example, to
satisfy this suggestion. By enhancing the use of earth in this area of the
home, the ability of good chi to positively influence your marriage and
other love relationships is greater. It is also beneficial to include
decorative pots and real or silk flowers in the love section of your house.
Other useful objects are pairs of birds, never use single of anything in
this area, red candles, and a symbol of the sun.
When decorating your
love area with Feng Shui and love in mind, there is one element that should
be avoided, wood. Wood is believed to be a harmful element to earth and as
such should not be placed in the love area. While real or silk are
beneficial, dried flowers or plants are not. They could easily symbolize
the death of your relationship. Stick with live plants in this area to
attract good chi and bring happiness and stability to your love
relationships.
There are certain
areas of the home that need to be carefully planned to eliminate the effects
of negative chi on your attempt to increase love in your life. In these
cases Feng Shui and love need a little more help. If the room is the
bathroom, use live plants to counteract the negative chi. You could also
hang chimes above the toilet to further reduce the unwanted effects of the
bathroom space. The kitchen is probably the most problematic room for
love. In Feng Shui, when the kitchen is the love focus of the home, it
symbolizes the possibility for infidelity on either side of the
relationship.
There is another room
of the house that is very important to pay close attention to in regards to
love. That’s right, we’re talking about the bedroom. In romantic love, it
is essential to plan and decorate your bedroom to be inviting to the
positive chi necessary to support the all important relationship of your
partner in your life. Keep the bedroom free of clutter. The last thing you
need in Feng Shui and love is a lot of unimportant things lying around.
Find the proper home for the things or throw them away. Don’t keep any
reminders of past loves in the bedroom. Those energies aren’t useful for
your current or future loves to flourish. No pictures, mementos, or the bed
shared with the old flame should be kept. Replace the bed for a fresh start
and put the photos away.
Do you find the TV,
exercise equipment, or computer loving? Odds are good neither will your
partner. Those are some of objects that should not be in residence in the
bedroom. While fresh flowers symbolize life and as such love, live plants
don’t belong in the bedroom either. They bring too much yang or male chi to
the room. Live plants in this room are associated with increasing the male
libido and encouraging him to wander to young women. Obviously, this isn’t
a good idea to enhance Feng Shui and love. The key to creating a bedroom
made for love is to decorate with an equal balance of yin and yang chi.
Women will want to decorate with the masculine in mind, while men should
concentrate on the feminine. The result is usually an excellent mix of yin
and yang influences.
Once you have used
your knowledge of Feng Shui and love to create your loving environments,
open yourself to the possibility of love. By that, embrace and enjoy love
in all of its wondrous forms. The love of family, children, and friends all
add together to create a love filled world for you. Celebrate this love and
reap the rewards of Feng Shui designed love spaces.
