Questions & Answers
May & June 2003

The head of my bed is north and the foot is south. Directly across from my bed is a dresser with a mirror on it. There is no way to arrange the room where the mirror isn't across from the bed. I've heard that this isn't a good arrangement and I should cover the mirror. I like having a mirror in the room for when I get dressed in the morning. Is it true that having the mirror across from the bed is bad? If so is there a good solution other than covering the mirror?

Put a mirror facing your existing mirror on the opposite wall any size and it will heal the situation.

I've been considering a career change and have been thinking of interior design. I'm interested in incorporating Feng Shui into this if I decide to make the change. Are there any good Feng Shui schools in the Nashville, Tn. area?

I do not know of any schools in that area at this time. Watch the web site for future information.

My wife and I have purchased a two story home with a attached garage. The home was built in 1996. Our driveway is about 20 feet long and 18 feet wide.  It is not flat but has a pronounced slope to it. We have heard that a driveway like this can cause our wealth to flow out. I can see it happening.
What would you suggest to stop this problem.

Install a light at the end of the driveway facing your garage.

I was very delighted to find your web site. It has greatly enhanced the Feng Shui work we have been doing on our residence. We are missing the relationship and wealth life stations. We have decided to place a boulder outside the house in each of these positions. Based on your recommendations, I will place mirrors or lights and probably wind chimes there also. Where do we put the red envelopes and enhancing life station materials for these stations? Do they go outside at the boulder site or inside in the corners of the house (even if they are not in the exact right locations)?

Place red envelope inside and outside.

My son's bedroom is in the wealth position of our house, it is always messy, will this affect us?

        Yes. It will upset
everyone's wealth in the household, clean it up and be prosperous.

Thank you for reading my letter. I have a two part question that I hope you can help us with.
First, I am a stay at home mom, with a 11 month old and a 3 yr old, who would like to start a business out of our home. I was born on June 11, 1965 at 7:20 am in Philadelphia Pa with the sign of Gemini. I was hoping that maybe you would have a suggestion of what type of business would be best suited for me. The second part is my husband was born Feb. 15, 1965. I was wondering what colors would you recommend for our home.

You are a born salesperson, real estate is perfect for you. You require lots of bright light  for your health. Use full spectrum lights where ever you can. White walls will also help.

I have read quite a bit on Feng Shui and have also tried applying it to my home. As you have said, the farthest left corner from the entrance is the wealth corner. I have placed a plant at that corner. How do I solve my financial problems? We had money flowing in for a short while and now it seems it's drained out. Also, how do
I enhance my relationship with my husband? Where is the
relationship corner? my bedroom is on the extreme back right from the entrance. What colors are good for my family? And type of jewelry? Myself born 22.7.59.2.15 am. My hubby 20.3.60. Time unknown. My first son: 23.2.93, 10.32 pm My second son: 10.1.97, 8.45 pm (estimated) Our house number is V3-01-11. What kind of career will be good for me and will this be a good year for me and all?

Your relationship corner in your bedroom is in the far right corner from where you enter the bedroom. You questions are to many to be answered in this format. If you are  interested in a consultation please e-mail me at ATM@ArtOfPlacement.com

Is it possible to get training and certification on Feng Shui from you via Internet?

Not at this time. Keep watching our site for new of upcoming  classes on the web.

Though I have two questions I will only ask the most troubling one, our business had its best year last year, but suddenly business has really fallen off. The thing that has bothered me, is that the entrance faces the back door directly, and I feel that it is a bad sign. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, my date of birth is Dec 19 1957, my wife is Sept 30 1962.

Put mirrors over the back door facing the front entrance.

We are moving to a new home in June. The address is 1342. Is that number a good one? The house where we presently live is missing the relationship area so I really wanted to make sure in our next home that area would be enhanced. That will have to be our 15 year old son's room. His room is often a mess! Is there anything I can do to help strengthen the relationship area even though it is being lived in by a teenager? Our birthdates are: husband July 20, 1957 mine Sept. 29, 1954, son Sept. 10, 1982, I am starting a home based business in our new home and will be keeping my inventory in the pantry that is in the center area of the Ba-Qua. I will also be using this space as an office area for my business. Will this be advantageous or not?

Put pictures of the family in the relationship corner in your son's room also put them in your bedroom in the relationship corner. Add plants to the corner (real of fake). The address number if for new beginnings. Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,

I was born 4/13/1951 in Croatia, Europa and live in LA, CA now. I wish you tell me, without knowing anything about me, what should l do to make my love life more happy.

Hang a heart in your relationship corner. Add plants to the corner also.

I have only recently discovered Feng Shui, and was wondering if you could help me . For the past 12 years my husband and
I have been living here in the shore of Lough Corrib in the West of Ireland. We have the husbands old family home, an old stone two storey. The house is aprox 70 yrs old, although the family originated here some 300 yrs ago. It is, set in 18 acres, adjacent to the lake We are VERY SLOWLY renovating, only having hot water and heating since October last. The house is south facing, the front door and back door were in line, forming a corridor under the stairs. The father-in-law removed the back door and a window was put in to form a bathroom. For the first 3 years we had no electricity, and until 1990 I referred to the building as Hell House! Now we have managed to 'release' a loving aura around the property, I have placed crystals in the windows, chimes in the kitchen and use incense and candles. We have planted 20 or so trees around the fields, in order to achieve a balance. What else can I do? For the past three years I have been disabled with extremely severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. As I am (only) 39 and have two young children I really need to help myself more, as I really dislike taking the huge amount of steroids that I do. Could the building itself be contributing to the illness?

Get a water fountain and put it in your bedroom. Paint your bedroom light blue.

I have just bought an executive apartment which sits south and faces north (the north direction is obtained from outside the front door using a compass).

My husband is born in the year of 1964 which belongs to the 'Li' life. The apartment we just bought also belongs to the 'Li' house which I think is compatible with my husband's life.  From the center of the apartment, the position of the front door is actually on the north-west position of the house. Furthermore, I notice that the 'death' line cuts across the front door position. Does this mean bad Feng Shui? If so, is there any cure for it?

Put a Ba-Qua Mirror over your front door. More information is required to answer this question and the question is too complicated for this format.  E-mail me at
ATM@ArtOfPlacement.com if you are interested in a consultation.

I hope I'm writing to the right place. I need some help with my new
apartment. I think I want a full consultation, although maybe my problem could be answered by describing the situation. I have gotten lost in the web sites and can't remember if you do consultations. If you don't, can you recommend someone I could contact? Please hurry, we are losing money right and left and I am unemployed!!!!!

    E-mail me at
ATM@ArtOfPlacement.com regarding a consultation.

I was born March 26, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. My sign is "Aries". I have been an executive for many years and have since retired however, I am young and want to go into business for myself but I am having trouble making decisions and finding the direction I should take. My talents are many but none that are focused. Any suggestions? I believe I was born around 10:30 PM.

You will do best in a service oriented business. Also import/export business.

I am moving into an apartment which is on the second floor of a building.   The front entrance to the building is 90 degrees from the front entrance to my apartment. Which way should I line the Bagua up?

        Above your front entrance.

The building we live is below the street level, there is a stairs that
leads down,
breaks in two 90 grade angle, that leads to a path where we found our building, with pillars, where this spaces now are garages for the cars. We live in the 4th floor (above the street level), an apartment with 44 number. Our door points NE. When entering the apartment we can see a big window on the opposite wall, but on this side (looking from the window), its a cliff, where we can see a express freeway (at left 200 mts - several car and people accidents) a really beautiful landscape with mountains and ocean (1000 mts until ocean - at center) and a cemetery (at right near 200 mts).  In the summer this apartment is hotter than street, and in the winter is colder. We've been working very hard these last 7 years, we're tired and the money is hard to find. Last year our office comes back to home and the things seems still freeze. All I want is get some money and get out here.  This is really an negative place? What we can do to neutralize this points?  There are solutions?  We're at the south hemisphere - Brazil. Excuse my poor English, thanks.

Leave the light on outside your front door. Put a Ba-Qua mirror over the front door. Put plants in all of your main lifestation corners.  Use affirmations of what your want in red envelopes in the corners.  Pace two small mirrors towards the cemetery.

How can I improve my positive energy when I live in a 400sq ft studio apt. A window facing north, bathroom facing north, door/entrance facing south, kitchen facing south and large walk-in closet on west wall. I'm new to Feng Shui and would appreciate any help.

Put an obelisk in your money corner. Add full spectrum light in your apartment. Write positive affirmations and put them in your  money corner in red envelopes. Think and Talk positive.
