Questions & Answers
JANUARY 2000

I was born on January 2nd, 46 years ago. What would be the best area of work for me at this time?

Sales of any kind or anything dealing with people.

Is it true that using wallpapers and mirrors in the bedroom is not auspicious?

It all depends where they are placed … if mirrors cut the bed or not.

Thank you for your excellent website. I have recently developed interest in Feng Shui. I have been having problems, especially financial problems, from the time I shifted to my own home. My husband’s date of birth is 7 July 1951, and mine is 6 July 1968. Our home number is C310. Although I feel the house has been lucky for me because I have a good job, my husband’s career and in turn our financial position is becoming bad, day by day. Could you advise me any small changes? I cannot afford a consultant at the moment. Our house is a second floor flat. The staircase of the building is in front of our entrance door.

Add a “3” and a “1” to your address with clear nail polish, and things will improve.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I am very new to Feng Shui. My birth date is 4 March 1962, and my boyfriend’s is 16 September 1961. We are getting married in February – any suggestions to make things go well? Our address is 3974.

Always keep a picture of the two of you together in your Relationship corner. You should do well.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

After reading two books about Feng Shui and reading some of your questions and answers section, I am left thoroughly confused about how to place the Ba-Qua map over my house plan. Should it be based on real compass points or on the placement of our front door? Also, the actual front door is not the door we use most. The most used entrance faces South and opens into a small entrance area of our kitchen/great room. Should this be considered the main entrance even though it is not our “formal” entrance?

Use the door you enter the most.

I have a central staircase straight up from the front door to the master bedroom. Both are double doors. There is a hall around the entire staircase. I am told this is very bad. What can I do to change this?

Put a mirror on the wall or the door facing down the stairway.

Our house number is 55. My birth date is 18 March 1947, and his is 3 May 1941. We live a block from a freeway, which we hear al the time. We planted one small tree in our tiny front lot and two flowering bushes to camouflage the sounds to no avail. Could this also be part of our very bad careers and financial fortune?

Add a “6” and a “1” to your address with clear nail polish. Put an Obelisk in your Money corner. I have never enjoyed a more informative site than yours. Thanks so very much for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. My question is, how can I use Feng Shui to help with my environmental allergies? Also, I have been single for 14 years and am not ready to have a lasting relationship. My DOB is 13 July 1951, 9:16 p.m., Texas.

Hang a Pink heart in your Relationship corner. Write an affirmation that you live in harmony with all of creation, and put it in your Relationship corner in a Red envelope.

We are in the midst of designing our log cabin and have a question regarding the ceiling in the bedroom. Although it is not healthy to sleep under a beam, is it okay to sleep under a round beam (log)? If not, what is the solution?

You can hang two flutes from the beam at a 45-degree angle. You can order them from us with instructions at http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm .

My date of birth is 23 March 1969, and my address is 5517. I live in a NE-facing house with an entrance, NE also. I have metal chimes near the front door. My bedroom is NW. I have been an acute depression for over a year. I’d like to know if there is a remedy or if my address is inauspicious.

Hang a Sun in your Money corner, and you should improve fast.

My boyfriend (1 March 1960 Water) and I (13 June 1970 Wood) live in a U-shaped house facing East with an address number of 1075. I understand this is a good direction for me. Our home office is located in the NW corner of the house. I have been very unsuccessful at finding employment that I enjoy and find challenging. What can I do to help improve my prospects?

Write an affirmation that you are so thankful for having such a wonderful job that pays so well and is so rewarding. Put it in a Red envelope in your Money corner.

I am moving into an office and have mapped out the basics that I know for the Feng Shui grid. Where I recognize a problem is at the Wealth corner – there is a hallway, stretching to the Left a good eight feet, then dead-ends.  What kind of cure can I apply to this corner?

Treat the far-Left corner by putting plants and an Obelisk in it. http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm

We purchased a new automobile about six months ago. Within that period of time, the driver’s side of the car has been vandalized twice, once when the car was parked in a lot at a baseball game, and the second time probably at a shopping mall parking garage. The damage each time was done by someone, probably, using a key and deeply scratching the driver’s side from one end to the other. The first damage was repaired, and the second time just happened about two weeks ago. We are stunned and wondering if there is anything we can do inside the car to remedy this bad luck. The car is black. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We have searched everywhere for any mention of Feng Shui and cars, but have found no help.

You may put two very small Blue dots on the front and back of the car, then two Blue dots on each side of the car. No one will bother your car again.

What do you feel about peacock feathers? I use them for Feng Shui around the house, and a friend told me this was not a good thing to do.

They are problems for women if they hold them in their Left hand. Women should always handle feathers Right-handed.

I am enjoying your website very much. Our daughter was born on 4 January 1997 at 10:28 p.m. in London. I am worried that her date of birth is coming to number 4. Our address is 13. Should I add numbers “3” and “1” before it.

Yes, add a “3” and “1” to your flat number with clear nail polish. Your daughter’s number is fine.

My front door opens in front of my stairs to the 2nd floor. At the top of the stairs is a bathroom. It is my understanding that this may be a problem. The door and the staircase are “off set” a little. What do you think?

Put a mirror – any size – on bathroom door facing down the stairs.

I am new to Feng Shui. I will be moving to my little office, which is virtually the last office on the South side of the office building, next to the conference room. I will have file cabinets and bookcases in the office. Where should I position my desk, my computer? What could I do to make this space a good one for me? I am in Human Resources Administration. My birth date is 22 February 1952, and my office address is 7230. Is there anything that I should be doing to my home address (521), South facing front door, to enhance my success in my new job?

You position the desk so your back is to a wall and you face the door, so no one surprises you from behind. Keep computer out of the corner in your office. Home address is real good; add a “3” and a “1” to the work address with clear nail polish.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

There are three aquariums in our kitchen. They are to the Left of the front door and are in the Southern area of the house, somewhat SW. We are newlyweds already having marriage problems. The wife believes the fish tanks are in bad places. Is it bad Feng Shui to have aquariums in the kitchen?

The aquariums should be placed with harmony. Place one near the front entrance. Place the other in your Money corner.

Our office is on the second floor of our house, but we’re not sure where the Wealth corner is because the stair entrance to the second floor is different from the entrance to the house. Should we use a different Ba-Qua for each floor?

No, from front door for all floors.

My husband’s auto repair shop stays very dusty and gritty – he is installing two exhaust fans to clear the air. How do we keep the good Chi from going out through the fans? Thanks for you excellent website!

Put red dots on the fan blades.

My husband was born in 1968, and I was born in 1962. His number is 2, mine is 4, and we are in a house facing East. How can I correct the bad Feng Shui?

Hang a Ba-Qua mirror over the front door. Put plants in your corners. http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm

I’ve been reading your site for some time. It’s really interesting. I did read some books about Feng Shui, as well. I live in a house with the number 3. My flat has number 14. Is that a good number?

Not bad numbers. If your number adds to 8, it is better.

My sister is going to try to sell her house, which faces South. What color should she paint her foyer for successful showings?

Light Blue.

How will a fountain in my Fame/Relationship corner help the flow?

It adds high energy to the area.

I am a firm believer in Feng Shui, but am at my wit’s end as to how to help my husband. He’s an Aries, born 28 March 1947 at 8:20 a.m. I first met him 25 years ago, and he was a dynamo. We were out of touch for many years, and re reentered my live six years ago. He had been through a difficult emotional and financial time, but seemed, I thought, to be pulling himself together. He has not held a job (this is a man with an extensive education and great mind!) in over ten years. As a result, we are strapped financially. He seems completely unable to focus on anything long enough to bring it to fruition. There is a history in his family of depression and addiction. What areas in my home should I concentrate on in order to help him?

Write out a plan for him to acquire a job – start small – give him small wins. Achieve one goal and move to a higher one. Place plants in your Money corner.

I was born 11 November 1967 and currently live in a townhouse with the number 2250-67. How is this affecting my life? Do I have to do anything to improve? A relationship ended last year – can it be revived. What can I do to bring that person back into my life?

Add two number “1’s” to your address, and things will improve.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I am from California and plan to marry a Canadian from Manitoba in the spring. My date of birth is 16 October 1962 – I am a Tiger, born in Malaysia at sunset/twilight (about 6 p.m.). My boyfriend’s date of birth is 7 August 1948, and he was born in the year of the Rat. Are we going to be happy together? We are also looking to buy a new house; the address is 218. Can you please advise if that is a good number?

Number is negative. Add a number “6” with clear nail polish to cure it. You should be happy together.

Do you have a few suggestions for librarians to use in interior design (colors, placement of computers, reference desks)? How about something to insure the return of borrowed books.

Do not place computers in corners. Hang a picture of a waterfall.

I would like to know what the future holds for my little girl, health wise. Her birthday is on 5 February 1998. She was born at 16:00 on a Wednesday afternoon. Her left eye was removed on 25 January 1999, a few days before her first birthday. She goes for regular checks for the right eye. She has bilateral retinoblastoma. She is a lovely child.

If you and those surrounding her see her as well, then she will improve and live a good life.

We have a muted Gold and Brown rug with a repeating pattern of round spirals in our great room that sort of sits in the middle of the house, but looks out a rear North-facing wall of windows. The rug makes the room feel sort of dead, and I’m thinking of changing it out and getting one with more vibrant colors – maybe using a bright Gold, Blue, and Red of the furnishings in the room. Is this a good idea?

Change the rug – trust your instincts – add color and life.

My husband’s birth date is 6 June 1958 – he is a Gemini and, according to Chinese astrology, an Earth Dog. Mine is 8 October 1969, born 11:10 p.m. – a Libra and, according to Chinese astrology, an Earth Rooster. We have a baby on the way, due 8 March 2000 – he should be Pisces and, according to Chinese astrology, a Metal Dragon. We are considering moving to a brand new house (still in construction) on 30 April of this year. The address is 57 Mint Leaf. The house is more or less square in shape, sitting on a lot that is an elongated rectangle with the tip an extended triangle. The main entrance faces South, and there is a ravine in the North, so there is open space. My problem is that the house sits directly opposite a “T” junction, which I have heard brings bad Feng Shui. If this is so, are there any preventive measures we can take to ensure protection and a happy home for our newborn baby and us?

Place a Ba-Qua mirror over your front door facing out. Hang chimes from the overhang facing up the “T” junction.  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm

I have been living in a second-story apartment, #56, for six years now. The building, itself, is in poor repair, especially the paint and front door, which is peeling. The front door opens on a staircase that turns to the Right. I have put a mirror at the landing in the staircase, one at the bottom of the staircase, and wind chimes at the bottom of the stairs. I would also like to improve my relationship prospects. I want to get married and get a better job. Unfortunately, moving is not a financial option right now. What can I do to enhance my situation?

Add the number “6” to your address with clear nail polish. Paint your door.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

How many flutes do I need to use with overhead beams?

Two per beam. http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm

Have purchased a table fountain through your site. Can I add additional stones?

Yes, you can add additional stones – it will be fine.

My birth date is 14 February 1944. I am paid on my job by commission. The last two months my sales have dried up. My job is East of my home. Another company wants to hire me, but they are also East of my home – a little closer. What should I do? I am feeling like a failure right now. After reading about Feng Shui, I feel like I am in the wrong place, but can’t make a decision on what to do. Please help.

Your astrology shows that things will pick up soon. Relax.

We are renting a house with the street number “13854” and are considering the purchase of a property with the number 522, where the front faces Southeast. I was born 20 June 1964, and my husband was born on 13 May 1962. What can we do to enhance our existing property, and will the new property be auspicious?

The new property is good. Add the number “5” to your old place, and things will be fine.

Is it possible to influence the flow of Chi with the use of color? For instance, choosing pictures/paintings of certain hues, or, maybe, paintings and pictures of certain objects?

Yes, it is possible. Get Ted Andrews’ book on color. It should help you. Several of his books and many other good ones are available by ordering on our webpage at http://www.artofplacement.com/fengshui/feng-shui-books/ .

I just discovered your cool and very interesting website. I was wondering what you could tell me about my house number, 73. My birth date is 5 August 1960, and my husband’s is 27 April 1951.

Add a “6” and a “1” to your address with clear nail polish.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

My wife and I are new to Feng Shui, and we have a question that we have not found the answer to in any of our books. We have the cremated remains of five family pets in a mirrored, wooden curio cabinet. We are wondering as to what sector of the Ba-Qua we should place their remains. Currently, they are in the Wealth/Prosperity section of our bedroom, which is in the Love/Marriage area of our house.

Put them in your Relationship corner, and they will always be with you.

I am originally from Manila, Philippines, but recently relocated in Northern California. I was born on 17 February 1967 at 10:36 p.m. My husband was born on 1 April 1958. We got married last this past January 6, and we’re scheduled to move into our new house before the end of January. Our new house is in a cul-de-sac, but is not the corner house. It sites on the North with the front door facing South, however, our address is 4520. I often read in Feng Shui books that “45” is an unlucky number. What number should we add to our address?

Add a “6” to your address with clear nail polish.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

My husband and I just built part of our new house on 24 acres of wooded land overlooking a river with mountains past the river. We have only done the first floor of the house (interior still not finished). It is a T-shape – two rectangles at right angels to each other. The front door is on the bottom right side of the top of the “T.” It is on a SE site; upon entering you face NW. How would I locate the life stations? Would I do it for each section of the “T?” Or as one unit?

Do it as one unit from main entrance.

My husband and I got married almost three years ago on 10 April 1997, and since then our lives have been a disaster. He had an accident and almost died ten days after our marriage. Recently we moved to a new home in a new town, hoping that our financial situation would be get better. The number is 4718, and the entrance is SE. As you enter, the main living room is at the Left, and the hallway to the children’s rooms is to the Right. As you enter, the kitchen is on the Left, and the family room is on the Right. Can you tell us where our Wealth corner is?

Your Wealth corner is the far Left-hand corner from your entrance. Add the number “6” to your address with clear nail polish.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

Recently through a friend I have heard of mirrors, Red dots, lighting. Please tell me more. I am very much interested.

Read the articles and questions/answers section on my website for other tips. http://www.artofplacement.com/questions/1999questions.htm

I want advice on how to use Feng Shui to win my husband back. We are separated.

Place a picture of the both of you together in your Relationship corner.

My daughter and I live by ourselves. Her birth date is 1 February 1989, and mine is 12 February 1961. We live at #12. Could you please tell us about our luck at this house and colors?

Add a “5” with clear nail polish to your address. Electric Blue or the color of the sky is your color for good fortune.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I live in a 3-room apartment and have a lot of mirrors – behind and in front of the bed, one behind the sofa; two big mirrors are in the lobby, and one into the bathroom. I would like to know if they could give me some negative influences.

Not if the mirrors face each other. If you have a mirror that doesn’t have a mirror facing it on the opposite wall, put one there.

We moved into our new house last April. Two months later, the house across the street finished with a 2-door garage on the Left, which has a triangle roof pointing directly to our front door. What is the possible solution?

Place a Ba-Qua mirror over your front door. Hang chimes from your overhang facing the driveway of your neighbor and the triangle over their roof. http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm

Our lovely WA state home faces South and has a wonderful, slow-moving river (75 ft. wide) running East to West, parallel and adjacent to our Northern property line. How might I use Feng Shui remedies to correct any lost opportunities this river may stimulate?

Face a mirror up river. Bring a picture of the river into the house, and things will be fine.

My street number is 18680, and my birth date is 11 November 1953 at 11:37 a.m. in Buffalo NY. My roommate’s is 10 April 1966; sons are 10 March 1987 and 18 September 1990. Is this a good house number for us? I have started an Internet business from home.

Add a number “3” to your address with clear nail polish.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I was born on 16 October 1982 and have been feeling very unsatisfied with my life for a while. I’ve had pretty hurtful relationships with pas boyfriends and hope to attract a good relationship sometime soon. Is there any hope? What can I do to encourage it?

This summer you will have a wonderful relationship. It will just be a bit longer. Hang a Pink heart in your relationship corner -–this will help.

When a home sites parallel to running water, does it matter which way the water is flowing? It’s running parallel to the length of the house.

If it bends away from the house, it can be a problem. Write and let me know if and how it bends.

I have been learning about Feng Shui and am a little confused – my house faces South in the SW corner of my living room, where I’ve put a fish aquarium. Will this help? I can’t put a plant in my Prosperity corner because that is a wall where my couch sits. If I put a plant in the SW corner, would that be OK? My birthday is 15 August 1958, and my husband’s is 2 April 1954; our street address is 67.

The fish aquarium will work fine.

We have just moved into our new home – the address is 5 Alwen Rd., #8. The house is L-shaped. We live in South Africa, and the advice you suggest is to flip the Ba-Qua diagram. When this is done, there appears to be a few stations missing, such as Marriage, Children, and Helpful People. What do I do to remedy this?

Place a rock even with the two corners of your house to square it.

I work for the Child Sexual Abuse Investigations Unit for the State of Texas – a very stressful but satisfying environment. Regarding Feng Shui for my office, I work in the middle of a large room, surrounded by people and all around me are doors to other small, cubicle-like offices, along with the door leading out into the hall. I am not against a wall, and there are no windows directly in the room. I am restricted to what personal items I can place on my desk. What suggestion do you have for someone with such limits?

Put a mirror on your desk facing behind you so people don’t surprise you from behind. Put a plant on your desk – real or fake. Place an Obelisk on the far Left-hand corner of your desk. You can order an Obelisk from our webpage at http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm. Things should improve.

My street address is 740, Apartment 11. Since we moved into this apartment, we have nothing by heartaches, deceivements from friends and families. Is there anything I can do to enhance this situation?

Add a number “6” to your apartment door with clear nail polish.

My husband and I share a home office. I would like to make the room such that it will attract money and better relationships between our children and us. The room has three doors – my husband wants to enter and leave through only the side door, whereas, I normally enter and leave through the door leading to the family room. Which door should I consider my South for Ba-Qua purposes?

You both should use the same door and set the Ba-Qua from that door.

Is it wrong to place family pictures, plants, and ornaments on display shelves made of oak? The shelves would be in my South corner; my front door is SE.

It is fine to place them on selves with ornaments.

My birthday is 16 December 1968, and my husband’s is 2 February 1967; my son’s birthday is 28 December 1988. Our address is 8875, apartment 2005. The unit has three floors with entrance and garage on the main floor. The second floor has kitchen, living area, and my son’s room. The third floor has my bathroom, bedroom, and a home office. During the two years we’ve lived here, my husband and I have had nothing but bad luck financially.

Add a number “1” to your apartment number with clear nail polish.

Our house number is 1981, and the front door faces West. Is our address a good one? Our floor plan is open – entering the front door, the living and dining rooms are almost one room. I quit my job in May 99 to stay home with my children because my son’s drug addiction had surfaced, and I have been battling it ever since. How can I help him?

Add a number “6” to your address with clear nail polish. Call me at 928-288-2061 for answers to the rest of your questions. Leave your name and phone number, and I will call you back.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I recently bought a house that has many great aspects. However, there is busy wallpaper everywhere! I will be painting these rooms; can you advise me the best colors for health, harmony, and prosperity in the entrance, bedroom, and kitchen?

Send me your birth date information, and I can then answer your question.

My wife and I bought a home four years ago, and it seems like nothing goes right. My birthday is 7 January 1948, my wife’s is 27 February 1957, and my daughter’s is 13 April 1985. Our house sits North/South, and the front door faces West. The address is 483. Is there anything you can tell us that will bring us good luck and harmony?

Add the number “1” to your address with clear nail polish.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

My address is 110. Is this a good number, or how should it be improved?

Add the number “6” with clear nail polish, and things will really improve.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

My birthday is 21 October 1942, and my husband’s is 15 February 1954. We moved one year ago to address 490 when his business moved. I have been reading everything, trying to keep up, but my husband (who adored me for 25 years) now says he is sick of everything – no money, not getting anywhere. He keeps saying it is him, not me, and all his thinking is suddenly self-centered. Our front door is North, and there is a bathroom in our Relationship corner. Please help.

Hang your pictures together in your Relationship corner. Read the questions/answers section on the website regarding bathrooms. http://www.artofplacement.com/questions/1999questions.htm

I have lost four jobs in a row, each in the most unusual way. My Career area seems to be located in a dark stairwell of my home, which has neither light nor electricity.

Burn candles in your Money corner and place an Obelisk there, and things will improve. You can order the Obelisk from our website: http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm

I am looking to find a Feng Shui Master to look at my apartment, but I am not quite sure where to locate one. Can you recommend anyone in the Boston area?

I don’t know any in the Boston area.

My house faces North, and the number is 6817. It is at the top of cul-de-sac, and I have a Red door with black window shutters on the front. My birth date is 20 December 1951, and my husband’s is 4 September 1952. Will the Red door stop bad energy from the road? Should I add a “3” to our house number and, if so, can it be anywhere on the house or should it be right beside the house number over the door? Should it also be added to the mailbox?

Add the “3” and “1” wherever your address is written.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

My house number is 44 and, from what I’ve heard, the number 4 means death or bad luck. My birthday is 13 May 1961, and my husband’s is 9 May 1962.

44 is a good number – it adds to 8. Place a circle with clear nail polish in a clockwise manner around your address to bring the best benefits.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I was born 12 May 1968 and live in Alabama in a house numbered 4328. I have lived her for five years and have had problems losing weight ever since moving in. Are there Feng Shui tips for losing weight?

Use written affirmation that you are so thankful that you have lost “_#__” pounds and look and feel so good. Place this in a Red envelope in your Money corner.

Are glass fish that float in water appropriate for the Money corner? I used to have a Buddha and other spiritual things there, but I thought that was an incorrect placement. My bedroom door faces Northwest, and that is where I moved the Buddha.

Glass fish in water is appropriate – also, the Buddha is good in the Money corner.

What can I do about a bedroom that seems to be totally wrong? The South wall is 90% mirrored closet doors (cannot be changed), the East wall has a 3’x5’ window in the middle, the North wall has a door to the master bath in the middle of it, and the West wall is not long enough for the bed. The bedroom is in the SW corner of the house; my main concern is where to place the bed. My husband’s birthday is 28 October 1939, and mine is 1 August 1944.

First, put a mirror facing your mirrored closet wall on the opposite wall. Put the head of your bed on the East wall.

If you live in South America is it considered good for your door to face South, or would it be better to face North.

In South America, it is better to face North.

I have read conflicting views regarding t he placing of plants or flowers in the bedroom. Is this beneficial?

It is very beneficial to put plants in your bedroom.

I have had trouble sleeping. Can you tell me what direction a bed should be placed?

Your feet should face the door. The North wall, having your head and feet facing South is best. Your doors should be shut when sleeping, especially the bathroom door.

I was born 9 September 1950, and my husband was born 12 June 1951. I am in new home sales, and he is an airline pilot. We just moved into a new home in June 1999 with a front door that faces 5 degrees East of direct South. Is our front door considered to be facing South or Southeast? We purchased a large 26” Obelisk. It has an elephant standing on a pedestal, and the Obelisk is on the elephant’s back. Where would this be most useful in our home?

Your house faces South. Put the elephant Obelisk in your Money corner, and all things will improve for you.

I live in Buenos Aires, Argentine – Southern Hemisphere and, therefore, some of the relationships with the natural elements are reversed with regards to the Northern Hemisphere. Can you help me understand what should be changed from the recommendations prepared for the Northern Hemisphere?

Reverse the entire Ba-Qua in South America.

My family moved into our home three months ago. Things have been great – new job and promotion for my husband, and my business is doing well. Our house number is 115 – is that a good one for all of u? My birth date is 8 November 1969, my husband’s is 12 November 1974, and our children were born 2 June 1993, 21 August 1995, and 22 July 1998. We were all born in Akron, Ohio.

My bedroom has two mirrored wardrobe closets, one of which directly faces the bed. Can you suggest anything I can do to counteract this?

Put a mirror on the opposite wall to neutralize the negative affects.

My birthday is 18 June 1955, and my street address is 2463. Are these numbers good?

Your address means spiritual help. Birth numbers are also good.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

We have the opportunity to repaint and carpet our house due to a recent flood. Our address is 7501. Our front door faces West, and we have lots of windows. What colors would help bring harmony and prosperity into our home?

Our house number is 3635 – If I need to add a number to my address, where do I put it? My birth date is 8 September 1970, and my husband’s is 26 May 1952. Our house faces East. Our bathroom is in the South sector. We bought an aquarium and placed it in the SE area of our living room to the left of the door. Can you please give some sort of remedies, especially about our friendships with others and finances? Also, my health is worsening. We have moved here about six months go.

You put it next to your address, either side; but your address is good. If you do your astrocartography, Atlanta is not a good place for you two.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

We moved into this condo five years ago … seems everything has gone wrong. We have a road that runs through the property and seems to be coming at us, then swiftly turns around our building. Our living room window and patio face this road. All our neighbors are unhappy and want to move. Our building number is 5, and our apartment number is 66. I would like to place a mirror outside the window.

Place a Ba-Qua mirror over the outside of your front door. Place chimes from the overhang lined up with your windows. http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm

I am a 26-year old female, born 26 April 1973 (Fire). It took me 41/2 years to get divorced. I have a 5-year old daughter. My house number is 6. I have terrible bad luck with finances and all money-related matters. What can I do to turn my luck around?

Tell me the shape of your house and complete address – I will help you.

What are my lucky colors and numbers? What colors should I furnish my home with? My birthday is 14 January 1945, New York at 2:50 a.m. My address is 1579, Apt. 4.

Add a “3” and “1” to your address and your apartment numbers. Your lucky numbers are 2 and 8; colors are Dark Green and Brown or nature colors.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

Could you give me an estimate on a consultation?

Please call 928 288-2061 and leave your phone number so I can call you back with consultation estimate.

My husband (kua #8) and I (kua #4) live in an L-shaped house, the entrance of which is inside the small part of the “L.” I don’t know how to place the Ba-Qua with this layout. The missing parts of the house are out front lawn and driveway – can I place any cures in the middle of the driveway?

Set the Ba-Qua from the front door. You may square the house by putting a light shining back at the end of it from the far side of the driveway.

You advised me to place a mirror facing the stairs that lead to the basement suite where I reside. Is this to reflect the stairs or the door I use to enter the house at top of stairs?

To reflect the stairs.
