My husband (6/20-1959) and I (5/17/1953) have recently moved closer to our business, a Southerly direction. We have become busier at work, but are unable to keep up with it because of cash flow problems. Our new home is located on a "pie-shaped" lot with the front being narrower than the back, although the front is somewhat rounded. Our lot number is 115, and our physical address is 27. The front faces North, the rear South. Our front door is to the far right of the front of the house, facing North, and raised off the ground - 6 steps to the porch. The house is brand new, and I am wondering if there are problems that I can correct to help achieve more stability.

We are selling our home - last night a friend of our neighbors stopped and asked to see it. She fell in love with it - she made several comments about making an offer and asked if she could bring her husband to see it. When you enter this door, you face the back patio sliding door (seeing plants and trees outside) and directly next to the sliding glass door (family room) is a brick fireplace. Out on the patio I have wind chimes and plants. To the left is our swimming pool. The master bedroom is at the Northwest, farthest corner and has artificial plants - our bed faces West. The bedroom door is kiddy-corner to the left (South), and the closet has mirrored doors that face the bed. This room also has sliding glass doors that lead to the swimming pool. The other two bedrooms are on the West side with their doors facing East. The hall (second) bathroom's doors face North. The den/office is decorated with lots of pictures of horses, all but two pictures face the den's entry door - the other two face the opposite direction. The color scheme throughout is shades of Green (from light to forest) with some Pink/Mauve and Burgundy accents. I have always felt peace and contentment in this house. Having been out of work twice (my salary being _ our income), we have always had money to pay our bills even without mine. Everyone coming into our home has always made comments about how warm the house feels. My question is, could the Feng Shui "expert" have altered the way the woman felt about this house? Is there something so drastically wrong from a Feng Shui aspect that it would make the woman fall "out of love" with it. Is there anything I can do differently to get this house sold? I would hire the friend's Feng Shui expert to do your house. This should solve all your problems. The house sounds fine - you can use a couple of cures overall, but don't worry - it's a good house.

Since my father's death on January 22, 1995 - he was born March 4, 1931 - my husband and I (May 2, 1957) have been struggling financially and emotionally. I am just getting interested in Feng Shui and am about to redecorate my room. My question deals with the placement of the bed. The door is at the South - when you walk into my room, you face North. Your website advises to have the bed placed so that your head is towards the North, when you lie down with your feet to the South. I have read that is not good to have your feet face the door - that it sucks the energy, or Chi, out. In order to have the correct North/South placement for my bed, my feet would be facing the door. Any advice?

I am suffering from CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and have just recently been told about Feng Shui. I have read two versions of the Ba-Qua circle. One version instructs you to stand in the middle of your home with a very accurate compass - locate North, and that is where you place career with the other stations following. The second version explains the front door is North and to place career at the entrance. My apartment faces North, however, the front door is in the South. I do not want to be completely backwards. I have searched through all the previous Questions and Answers, hoping to see a problem similar to mine. Our house is U-shaped with the missing middle section toward the front of the property. The Right side of the "U" is a 3-car garage, and the Left side is an extension of the house with an additional entry. Thanks for the opportunity to ask a question. My large ranch-style house faces Southwest and has a raised living/dining room just two long steps about 6 feet from the entryway. The entrance leads you to this 20'x30' area that looks straight ahead outside - seven windows (about 6'x5' each) line the back wall of the house - I think this is the Career center of the house. The house isn't a true rectangle because the "missing" part has what looks like a carport near the entrance, bordered by a garage with a little alleyway path running between the house and garage. There is a clear view of that pathway from the front door. If the house were truly rectangular, there would be a bigger room attached where the garage currently is. I often hear it is a "feel good" house, but my career is at a standstill. Others in the house are experiencing the same problem. Do you think this needs fixing?
