I have recently started studying Feng Shui, but now I am confused with several areas. Our home was built in 1953 at 3410 45th. It is an "l-shaped" home, where the front door faces South in the Career area, but when you enter the front door, you can see the back door (sliding, which is in dining/living room combination), and there is no room for room dividers. The fireplace is to the right (East) of the door. The master bedroom is in the shorter part of the "L" shape. Our birthdays are 6/13/53, husband's 7/21/49, son 4/25/79. I'm about to turn 25 on 7/3/99. I'm very new to Feng Shui but find it very interesting and will definitely be reading more books and, maybe, even take classes in the future. Have been studying Feng Shui and following your site for a while now. I find myself to be quite intuitive as to "feeling" what is needed and finding out my senses have led me to good Feng Shui. Having just read your Q&A for February, was dismayed at response to party who are living in home previously occupied by bankruptcy, divorce, and suicide. Your question to them: "Is house below street level and is lot triangle-shape" really hit me. Our house is below street level, and the lot is "wedge-shaped," running steeply downhill, although it is not bothersome as it's wooded and landscaped with defined levels joined by naturalized pathways, resting benches, view areas, etc.) Previous owners went bankrupt, prior to them the original owner-builders divorced. Our recently purchased house numbers are 22241, which I think means separation and death. Do I correct the numbers to equal "8" with a "6?" How much significance is there to the lot shape and size, as well as "below street level?" We are about 20 feet below street level with a winding, heavily treed drive. Though we planned to remodel - and knew the 20-year old house would need TLC - we have numerous problems, one after the other. I bought a house in Pacifica with a "fan-shaped" lot after discovering your wonderful website. My concern is with the location of my house - there is a small 2-way neighborhood street that gradually curves directly to my garage, which is attached to the house. We've been at our present address for nearly eight years, and our finances go up and down - we can't seem to get ahead of ourselves. We have recently purchased a new house. A few of the previous occupants that we know of have increased their earnings substantially while in this house. The house number is 6502 and was built in 1924, although it's had two substantial add-ons. I believe I am a Ken (born 9/14/1956) and my husband is a Kun (born 7/29/1953). The add-ons are in the Wealth (back left) corner and Relationship (back right) corner. The area in between (Fame/Recognition) has a Blue Spruce and Pine tree filling it. The house is still rectangular, but there is an enclosed entryway attached to the South end of the house with a 2-car attached garage South of that entryway. Do I have to include this in my Ba-Qua of the house or can it be treated separately since thee is an outside entry room between the house and the garage? The rest of the house 2-story - garage is one-story. How will this affect the upstairs Ba-Qua if included? It doesn't seem to have a negative effect, but we've been here only 5 months. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
