I live in a cul-de-sac, and my next-door neighbor’s tree is directly in the path of my front door. I am told this is bad luck. I tried to put a mirror on my front door, but this has angered my neighbor across the street – she thinks I’m declaring a Feng Shui war on her and has put a convex mirror on her door.  Therefore, aside from putting a mirror on my door or cutting down a tree that isn’t mind, what can I do to fix this problem?

Take down the mirror facing the tree because it is actually protecting you. Let your neighbor know that you asked a Feng Shui Master and let’s work together. You can have your neighbor contact me so we can eliminate this budding Feng Shui war.

I am a student living in this house for just about all my life. I’m pretty sure the Feng Shui can be improved because there is a forever occurring discord between everyone in the house – my mom, sister and me. Also, when we start off doing something, we end up getting side-tracked and not finishing it – unable to focus and think clearly, make smart decisions, and be able to plan/foresee ahead. We are not prospering but stuck at where we are. I see myself in a cycle of anxiety/depression over stress from school. My mom is always tired and low in energy. It’s a pretty old house, and we are in the process of moving things around. The address is “341.” It faces West with the entrance facing South. Our birth dates are December 21, 1950, April 7, 1980 and May 2, 1982. There are cracks on the pavement due to the weather here in Canada. Cracks that run outside from the entrance to the back. If you can possibly give me any advice on this, it would be very kind of you.

Put some Red drops of nail polish in the cracks. The nail polish is to be used in small amounts. Put a picture of all of you together in your Relationship corner.

We live in a rectangular house on a sloping rectangular lot; the front door faces South with a pond in back on East side, wooded North side, and a hill on the West. Unfortunately, this is all at the back of a cul-de-sac a little below road grade. The address is 4900. My birth date is October 17, 1966, and my husband’s is July 7, 1957. We’ve applied some remedies, but what should we be concerned with first? We’ve had more colds in this house and are always exhausted.

Add a “3” and a “1) to your address with clear nail polish. Make sure you have plenty of light in your house.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I am a rat, and my husband is a horse. My birth date is June 20, 1960; His is July 1, 1942. At best, we are able to live in harmony for about three days before we have a fight, which lasts for another 3 days. This is my second marriage and his third. I lived in harmony with my first husband, so this new relationship is very unsettling. I have already put a Red heart on the wall in the Relationship are of the bedroom, but the arguments continue. What can I do to bring harmony into our home? Our address is 1001, Apt. 5 – I added a “1” under the doorknocker by putting a piece of masking tape on the doorknocker and writing on it. I own a successful business. My husband’s business is not successful, and a lot of arguments come from him telling me how to manage mine. I know that his is trying to control my emotions because he has no control over the money, and he is a control freak. The more successful my business becomes, the angrier he becomes.

Add a “6” with clear nail polish to your address. Put your pictures in the Relationship corner, and things should improve.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I am doing an independent study of Feng Shui for my health class at school and found your page to be very helpful and informative. Are there any key points you feel I should mention within my study so that my classmates get a better understanding of just what Feng Shui is?

I think you should start by reading Derek Walter's book  "The Feng Shui Handbook.” It should help you a lot. You may order it from us at this website page: http://www.artofplacement.com/books.htm

My husband and I have a hard time finding jobs – he’s been looking now for almost one year. Now, I also lost my job. He was born May 29, 1953, and I was born June 16, 1957. I consulted with you before, and my home address is 10111. I already added a “3” and a “1” in clear nail polish, and have an affirmation about our jobs in the Career section of my room. What else can we do?

Apply for jobs on Tuesdays and Thursdays and you should get one.

I love your website and enjoy the newsletter greatly. I know you must get a lot of questions. I sent a question in June and was hoping it would show up in the newsletter, but have not seen it or received a reply. I was born August 19, 1961 and live at 10951 N. 91st Avenue, #29, in a mobile home that has a bedroom at either end, a center kitchen, and I’ve suffered from CFS for three years. The door faces West. I have been reading in the newsletter for clues, but still not sure about where all the corners are and what would help my condition, which has transcended to financial and relationship problems. Can you help?

Add the number “1” to your address with clean nail polish, and add light to your home. Put a Pink heart in your Relationship corner and an Obelisk in your Money corner. I live in a 4-story townhouse, rectangular, with all rooms directly above the other. The main entrance on the first floor faces North. The staircase begins directly in front of the front door and continues up through the center of the house to the fourth level. I was born on November 17, 1947. If I attempt a Feng Shui cure with this layout to increase my prosperity, would I have to make the identical cure on each level?

All four levels the same.

My husband is under a lot of pressure at work. Would he use the life station chart at the entrance of his office? Also, what might be useful for increasing his effectiveness with people and his performance?

You use the life station chart from the office entrance. Put plants in his Relationship corner of his office; also, place an Obelisk in the same corner. You may order the Obelisk from us at http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm.

My address is 2101, Apt. 1206, and my birthday is May 10, 1945. Is there anything to be concerned about regarding my financial situation

You must add a “3” and a “1” to the street address for success. You learn to save, and your money will go up.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

In Navajo philosophy there is a word that doesn’t translate well into English. This word is “Hozho.” It means Harmony/Balance/Beauty. This is a concept few Anglos understand – it’s basically being in harmony with the Universe, and to be ill or to show any negativity is to be out of harmony or balance. Is this similar to some basic Feng Shui concepts?

Being in balance with your surroundings is all part of Feng Shui.

My birth date is October 8, 1958 at 6:00 p.m. My house number is 1933 (it doesn’t appear anywhere on the house or mailbox because it’s not necessary where I live to identify the house. Do I need to put it up somewhere?), and I have recently redecorated to really open up the space and positive energy. Although it’s not as yet complete, I have an ornate carved wood-front door and did not want to paint it Red, so hung a large Red chili wreath on it. I have an aquarium at the entryway and an openwork wrought-iron gate at the porch that’s locked most of the time. All aspects in front of my house (which faces South) are good. I want to attract better relationships and companions into the house – one person especially as my life mate but others as good friends. What do you suggest?

Don’t put your numbers up Put affirmations of how thankful you are that you have such a good life mate relationship and so many good friends that you entertain in your home. Place them into a Red envelope and put it with a plant in your relationship corner.

I recently bought a house (number 10681) and am worried because the previous owners were divorced. The front entrances faces East, but the most used entrance is on the North side. From there, the farthest Right-hand corner might be the sunroom, which I will fill with plants. However, it also has an addition that extends farther to the Right, but not as far forward away from the door, and this is the laundry area. Which one is my Relationship corner? Is the house number okay?

House number is a problem – add a “1” with clear nail polish. The Relationship corner is the farthest Right-hand corner from your entrance.

I am trying to figure out what is an “Obelisk?” In answer to someone’s question, it is stated that they can order an “Obelisk” from Wind & Water. I looked at the product list and didn’t see anything called an “Obelisk.” I am not sure what it means and how to make one to put in a corner, like you keep suggesting to people.

It looks like the “Washington Monument.” Call 928-288-2061 to order.

We recently moved into a new East/West-oriented home with an address of 20523; the front door faces West, back patio door faces South, and the sliding door in Master bedroom faces East. My birth date is July 30, 1946, and my husband’s is April 13, 1945. We experienced much financial misfortune in our previous home and would like to know a tip or two to help, possibly, remedy this situation. I have read some on the subject, but time limits me. I have already put two Red candles on a West wall. Will this help?

Add the number “5” to your address with clear nail polish. Put plants and an Obelisk in your Money corner.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

We are Leo/Gemini rising with Gemini moon and Capricorn/Leo rising with Libra moon; our house number is 1454 – we’ve added a “3” as you suggested. Our bedroom has an adjoining bath (we keep the door closed), and we have but one solid wall to place the head of the bed … it puts the bed directly across from the door, which our cats open and close repeatedly. Our other walls have windows, and the bedroom set is of dark, heavy wood. Walls are pale Blue but we have not been getting very good sleep. My partner also likes a television (which I cover when not in use) and a stereo in there, so too much electrical energy for me. Any suggestions to improve our sleep?

Put a fountain in your bedroom to bring sleep and improve your life. We have a wonderful selection of fountains at http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm.

I am getting ready to buy a new home. My current house is shaped like a “U,” and I have lived in it for 22 years. During that time, my life has been torn apart. In the last year I’ve read a couple of articles on Feng Shui and wonder which direction my new home should face. I was born on February 10, 1948.

Front door should face out to the South.

My kitchen is located in the Wealth area and faces a relatively flat ravine. My stove is on the East wall, and the sink is on the South. My bedroom is directly above the kitchen with the headboard on the East wall; my bedroom door is on the South wall. Please advise on remedies needed to improve the wealth area.

Hang chimes on the outside of the house between the ravine and your Money corner. Put plants  and an Obelisk in bedroom Money corner.

Am new to Feng Shui and attempting to learn the principles for correct applications – I have some problems that need addressing immediately. My husband and I moved into a new house in December 1995; the address is 1352. Ever since we’ve been in the house, we’re experiencing illness and serious financial problems. The front door faces South, and we have no neighbors across the street because our home faces a wildlife preserve with marsh, waterways immediately across the street, and hills in the distance. Since the back patio door is North, is it our Career corner? My husband’s birthday is January 30, 1928, and mine is November 4, 1944. Where are our Health and Wealth corners and what should we do to promote good health and wealth?

The address is terrible – add a “6” to the numbers with clear nail polish. Your Money corner is the farthest Left-hand corner from your entrance. Health wall is Left-hand wall from the entrance to any room.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

We are looking for a lot on which to build a home. There are two lots that interest us – Lot #32 faces East *80 degrees), and when you face the lot, the left side is higher than the right. Lot #38 faces West (266 degrees), and when you face the lot the right side is higher than the left with a slight dip in the back. Which lot will be a better choice?

Send me your birth information and I can give you better advice. Lot #32 is better, but I need more information to give a good answer.

Recently, I went to a storage locker where the majority of my household possessions have been for over a year while I was out of town on a temporary job. I discovered that rats have been in the locker – they chewed some of my things and defecated over others. I’m throwing out all the bedding and linens, but other than washing everything I want to keep, is there a Feng Shui treatment for the effects of rodents attacking one’s property? I am also concerned about the effect this had on my life in general. Anything you can suggest would be immensely helpful.

Put borax in your storage room. You are being told symbolically to live in the now.

About three years ago my husband and I moved to a new home with the address 4419. My husband’s birth date is February 2, 1950, and mine is May 30, 1953. Ever since this move, we have experienced general tension in our lives and our jobs, our neighbors are disturbing, and I’ve suffered one serious health problem after another, including major surgery. We’ve used a variety of cures as suggested on your site and in Feng Shui magazines, but we’re not seeing any progress. Any suggestions?

My birthday is January 14, 1969. I have focused on my Relationship sector, which is coming along nicely. I have reorganized my bedroom so that it is Feng Shui-friendly, but need some positive suggestions for my Career/Fame areas. I am in a constant struggle for my life’s calling. I am a temp for three years now, but that is getting old. I have a desire to find a place where I can be passionate about contributing my creative talents. The monetary aspect will also boost the deal … the life of a temp can be very taxing, very unstable and disturbingly so. I need a boost. What do you suggest I do on a temp’s budget? For thirty years, I have lived on a service road that faces a major highway.

My husband and I have bought a flat. Is there something special we should have in mind for our flat? The number of the street is 10, 9 A. I was born April 5, 1968, and my husband was born April 8, 1966. We are expecting a baby in February 2000.

Read Derek Walters "The Feng Shui  Handbook "and incorporate the cures in your home. You can order the book from us at our webpage at http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm.

My landlords have been advised to paint a “6” on the number plate of our building in clear nail polish to enhance their relationship. How will this affect me? The address is 7220. I am a female, born May 2, 1956.

It will help you in every area of your life. Do it and enjoy.

My husband and I recently purchased our first house. The address is 33. My husband’s birth date is January 6, 1960, and mine is August 14, 1958. I am new to Feng Shui and would like to know what color to paint our bedroom, as well as what I can do to bring positive Chi to our new home.

Blue or White with some Black accents. Add plants and a fountain to your home. Check our webpage http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/product.htm.

I am a female born September 28, 1965; my apartment number is 1708, and it faces the street. Any suggestions how I can improve or be a part of a loving and committed relationship? My corner has a pretty Red potted green plant that has eight branches on it – I’ve placed it on top of a tall rod iron and glass table.

Add a “1” to the address with clear nail polish.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

The door to my room in this house from the Chi center of the room is clearly in the East section of the room. Yet the door, itself, faces Northeast. What entrance do I have, East or Northeast? Also, how do I decorate that compass entrance to activate my Feng Shui?

Northeast is fine. Decorate with a plant or picture of nature.

As a visitor to your site, I appreciate your efforts in helping so many people – it’s quite impressing to be able to answer all of the questions. Our address is 3066; his birth date is May 3, 1957, and she was born July 29, 1957. We have many problems – health, first, and financial, second. We appreciate your suggestions.

Add the number “11” to your address with clear nail polish – on your mailbox, where it shows on the house, and on the curb if it’s also shown there. Put some Orange color in small accents on your Health/Family wall.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I think your site is great – looked through all the questions and answers. I have a business in Sedona and have done a lot of Feng Shui to help it along, including changing my suite number from 209 to 269. Was that correct?

That was a perfect correction.

We had our couch reupholstered in a Blue/Green/Beige large plaid. Our wing back chair was done in a Burgundy/Beige large Gingham plaid, and two matching living room chairs were done in a Green and Burgundy Gingham with a Burgundy design (sort of flowers). At the time I had no knowledge of Feng Shui. Since then, I have read that plaids are not so great. The three chairs are in the living room with a futon that has a dark Burgundy, Navy and Green paisley cover. The plaid couch is on the lanai, off the living room. Is there anything I can do to remedy my plaid problem? My birthday is September 29, 1954, my husband’s is July 20, 1957, and our son’s is September 10, 1982. We live in military housing, address is 1342.

For the plaid problem, put Orange felt under the furniture near the corners where it can’t be seen. Change your address by adding the number “6” in clear nail polish. Call us for a consultation about your son.  928-288-2061.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I am interested in writing a feature story on Feng Shui for a journalism class. I have some questions to ask an expert like yourself, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would be able to help me out. If you are interested, we could do a mini-interview over the phone or I could send you the questions via email. I would love to have quotes and information from someone like you who practices Feng Shui and hope that you are interested.

Call 928-288-2061 and leave your phone number. I will call you back.

Would you have any thoughts on a logo color for our sales company? Our birthdays are November 28, 1954 and February 4, 1961. Our address is 955, facing West.

Yellow and Red or Green will help your sales. Add the numbers “6” and “1” with clear nail polish. For your company’s success, be very aggressive and relentless in your approach, and you’ll do fine.

I have recently bought a new home, and the following areas concern me: the entrance to the house looks out to ascending stairs; the kitchen and lounge are in an open area; there is a mirror in the foyer just as you enter the house; and, the guest loo is at the right of the foyer.

Put mirror squares facing up from the bottom of the stairs at the entrance; use a Chinese screen to block people’s view to the kitchen while cooking; add a plant under the mirror at entryway; keep door to loo closed and toilet lid down at all times when not in use. Things will be fine.

I would like to enhance my life by adding Feng Shui to my new home. Am new to this, but know I’m the year of the horse (fire). The front door faces East, and my bedroom is located at the farthest Right-hand corner of the square. The bedroom window faces West, and there is a bathroom inside on the Left side, next to the entrance of the room. Is it appropriate for me to put the headboard pointing West? It’s away from the door. Where are the Wealth and Relationship corners in the bedroom and how will I manage to make it better? Any suggestions on my colors? I really do appreciate your time and effort in helping me achieve a better lifestyle.

Your bed will be fine. Let’s add some Green accents to your bedroom, but don’t put too much green.

I run a charitable Cosmic Healing Institution in Bombay, India. I run it from my present house, which is becoming smaller by the day. Due to paucity of funds for “noble causes,” it is becoming impossible to run this facility on “charitable” grants, hence, I am deciding to change the premise. I very humbly approach you to be kind enough to advise me as to which type of residential premise should be purchased, where it is both good for my family and to pursue my noble cause.

Purchase a place that is square or rectangular in shape. If it has a fence or wall, that will help. Try for an address that adds up to “8.” Write again.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

We moved into a new home with the number 1073 – is it OK? My date of birth is September 12, 1941.

You have to add the number “6” with clear nail polish, and you will do fine.

We recently bought a house to renovate. It is a 2-story, three-unit house. We are living here only while we fix it up, so it will be mostly empty when it sells. The address is 112.

Add the numbers “3” and “1” to your address with clear nail polish. Also, circle the “2” in your address, clockwise.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I just recently moved from a basement house apartment to a first-floor-building apartment. Surprisingly, I thought having two windows in my room facing the street that serve as a distraction rather than a plus. My bedroom is located straight across the hall. There is constant water running from somewhere, and I constantly keep the door closed to the bedroom. What do you recommend? I also have an overhead-ceiling fan that seems to be a negative, rather than a positive.

Put Red dots on the top of your fan blades. Hang crystals in the two windows of your bedroom. I would bring in someone to find and fix the water problem – it could really hurt you.

I have been practicing Feng Shui for about 4 months now, and nothing seems to work. I live at 309 Court and was born February 14, 1961. I would like to save up money for my own bakery. Currently live in a mobile home close to the country. Have fish and two older pets that add Feng Shui. Any suggestions? Thanks so much – glad you’re here.

Add the number “5” to your address, and things will improve. Build up your Wealth corner with plants and other cures.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

My husband is about to launch his debut music CD and would like your advice on how to make it successful. May date of birth is February 16, 1962, and my husband’s is September 26, 1958. Our house number is 33 and in a rectangular shape, located in a battleaxe block. Our front door faces Southeast, while the entrance to the property is on the Northeast.

Ad the numbers “1” and “1” to address with clear nail polish. Launch it on a Tuesday or Thursday, and it will be a success.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

The back of my lakeshore, L-shaped house faces SE toward the water. What can I do?

You can square off your house by using mirror squares.

Your website is wonderful! I was born October 19, 1972 at 9:55 a.m., Rat year/Water, so my direction is Northeast and West. I’m a single woman and will decorate my new home using Feng Shui principles. My entry door is NW; hall and Kitchen W; study N and NE; bathroom NE; bedroom NE-N; living room SE and S. My priorities are a passionate and long-life relationship, career and money, and an active social life. Should I decorate my home “Rat and Water” colors or NE and W directions – Fire, Earth, and Metal colors? If I use Watercolors (Blue and Black), I can’t use my favorite direction colors because I should use Water with Wood, not Water with Earth or Fire. What should I do?

Use accents from the directions and your elements. Main color should be the one from your elements that you are most attracted to.

I’m a QuGong Practitioner who applies Feng Shui principles to my home and life, as much as possible. I just finished reading al the questions/answers for 1999 and was enlightened. Thank you. My grandmother died on January 4, 1999, and we have had her house for sale since last March – it just doesn’t want to go. We’ve even hired the best Real Estate Agent in town. My deceased grandmother’s name is Genevieve, and her address is 515 NW 9th Street in a small town in Minnesota. There is an open cement slab porch with 2-3 steps to the landing. Although the front of the house faces East, the front door faces North. The front door is Maroon, which matches the rest of the house trip. The house is light Green in color. The back door is the door is most used for entry because it’s most near the unattached garage. I’ve buried St. Joseph; I’ve prayed and had others pray. I’ve placed two Red Geraniums on the front porch. I’ve hung hollow chimes because there is a tall Evergreen tree directly in front of the house. I’ve also practiced QiGong in the home whenever possible. This used to be a quiet and safe neighborhood. Is there any hope? It’s causing my mother a lot of stress – she’s tried everything. Can you help? We’ve had to change the asking price several times. Now we are asking $59,000. Grama would turn in her grave if she knew how little her house was going for. Please help. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Your address is wrong for sale. Add a “3” plus a “1” to your address with clear nail polish. Put a Red bow on your main door.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I am a 36-year old English woman (birth date December 8, 1962); I am working with my husband – we have had our own business for the last 12 years (computers and website design). We work really hard and at time feel as thought life is one hard “slog.” We often have to chase customers for money or chase our suppliers for goods to be supplied on time. I feel that I am not quite suited to the work I am doing and wonder if you could suggest my best path in life … or how we could improve the working conditions. Our house number is 19, and we work from home. Money is often tight  – we sometimes feel we’re working for nothing. Our front door faces West.

Add the number “6” and “1” to your address, and things will improve. Sales of any kind are good for you.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

How do we use Feng Shui in the garden”

Make a “horseshoe” shape garden with the open mouth facing your house, and good things will happen.

We’ve been having difficulties with finances, jobs and – in general – strange occurrences. Our townhouse faces NW; the number is 39 with the complex number of 2300. When you open our front door, immediately facing you are the stairs leading to the main level. Also, standing at the front door, you look down he hall to a big patio that takes you to the back yard. Our bedroom is located above the kitchen, which is above the garage. I was born February 20, 1965, and my husband on August 7, 1964.

Add a “5” to your address “39” with clear nail polish. Put mirrors on the back wall of your garage, facing out to protect you from Sha, or hard energy, hitting in the garage and spinning your home.  Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I live in three rooms and have a lot of mirrors in my flat – behind and in front of the bed, one behind the sofa, two big mirrors on the wall of the lorry about 2 meters for 2 meters each, and one into the bathroom. I would like to know something about them and, in particular, if they can give me negative influence.

They can if they reflect the bad without having a mirror on appropriate wall to negate any ill effects.

I want to know if you can direct me to where I might attend workshops in the New York City area.

Call William Speer, in New York. Call us at 928-288-2061 for information about contacting him.

Our bedroom has a ceiling fan in the center of the room, which means it is over the end of our bed. There is not any way we can rearrange our room, and we need the fan to keep it cool. Is there anything we can do to downplay the negative effects of the fan?

Put Red dots on the top of the fan blades. Make sure you fan moves “clockwise” as if you are looking down from the ceiling.

Thank you for such a fantastic website. My partner (male, born February 14, 1974) and I (female, born February 27, 1975) are looking for a new house. Could you please advise which way the front door should face, and should you decide the facing of the door by looking from inside the house out or outside looking in?

Face out to the South and get a an address that doesn’t add up to a “7” or a “2.”   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

With respect to the numbers of houses, I know that “2” equals divorce, “4” equals death, and “8” equals the most prosperous … but what do the other numbers stand for?

1 is “new beginnings;” 3 is “communications;” 5 is “change;” 6 is “spiritual help;” 7 is “hard spiritual lessons;” and, 9 is “completion.”

Do you have any consultation numbers is Australia, NSW, Newcastle?

Call USA Country number (1) and 520-284-6882, and set up a consultation. No special numbers for Australia.

My birthday is August 20, 1955. My house number is 10. I have been unhappily married for many years, and I am in love with someone else. I would like to be with this person – who is my soul mate, born December 25, 1956. I wonder … will I ever be able to extricate myself from this unhappy life and be with the person with whom I am meant to share a life? If so, when do you foresee this happening, and what can I do to make my wishes materialize faster?

February 2000 or February 2001 would be excellent timing.

I understand that sloping driveways are bad Feng Shui – they let money flow away from the house.  My home faces North, and is situated fright in the middle of the property, about six feet higher than street level. My driveway runs up on the East side of my hour and slopes away from it. Is there anything I can do to change the ill effects of the sloping driveway? I’ve ready many books n Feng Shui, but I can’t seem to find cures/solutions for sloping driveways. I look forward to reading your questions and answers section every month.

Put a small mirror on a stake facing back to the house near the end of your driveway, or install a light shining back at your house near the end of your driveway.

Are the ones born in 1971 (Aries) compatible with those born in 1950 (Capricorn)? Are they into marriage?

Capricorns are into Marriage. Aries are more shy, but it can work if Aries works on their fetes.

I have read your site and think it is brilliant. I have sent an email to you before, but forgot to say all my details – I was born February 24. 1066 – am a Fire Horse, I believe. My daughters were born February 24, 1995 at 6:39 p.m. and August 23, 1998 at 20:02 p.m. My husband was born July 11, 1973. Our relationship is in tatters, and he has moved out to be with another woman. In our house, which is number 16 and is “L” shaped, we have bay windows and, our front door is South, but it is not used. We have a back door facing East that we use all the time, so this is really our “front door.” It, therefore, means that our Relationship area and Wealth area are missing something. How can I get my marriage back by using Feng Shui? I have wind chimes outside the corner, so my bay window and on the inner way I have a photo of our weeding day. Please help – What more can I do?

Add the number “1” to your address with clear nail polish. Put a Pink hear in your Relationship corner; things will improve.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

My room is basically square, but I have a bay window, so my Relationship and Wealth area are missing. What can I do to enhance this are and get my marriage back – at present, my husband has left me for another woman. Please, please help.

Please send me birth dates for your husband and yourself. Send me your address, and I can answer your questions.

My partner and I are getting married – our birth dates are June 12, 1968 (her), and mine is May 29, 1965. Our front door faces North and is in the center of the house. The office is in the Northeast corner, and living room is in the Northwest corner. Our bedroom is in the Southeast corner. The kitchen is in the middle at the back of the house (South), and the dining room is in the Southwest corner; a small sunroom is behind it in the Southwest corner. The address is 143; are we OK? Please advise.

You are doing fine – you should do well.

I have recently left my job after 16 years – our company offered an early retirement package. However, I am having great difficulty find a new position. I have tried to maintain a positive attitude and have placed an affirmation in a Red envelope in the Prosperity/Wealth corner. I have sent out several resumes in response to newspaper and Internet ads, but no luck so far. My birthday is March 29, 1946. Do you have any advice? Thank you for your assistance, and I thoroughly enjoy your site.

Make sure your affirmations are written as if you have already had a new job. Your astrology is good to get a new job in January or February of 2000.

I am building a house on a corner lot. This lot has two addresses – 5800 Pine Valley or 5704 Master Court. My birthday is September 1, 1959, and my wife’s is January 9, 1959. Which address is best for us?

Both numbers are bad. Add a “3” and a “1” to the Pine Valley address with clear nail polish, and you should do fine.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

I really enjoy your site. I was born November 14, 1964, and my husband was born on June 25, 1957. We currently live in an apartment on the second floor … #204. The staircase lading to our front door (door does not directly face stairs) is cantilevered and is located in the Northwest and North areas. We have both experienced such difficult times in our careers -– my husband is self-employed – and wonders why two talented and very motivated people are having a hard time being successful in what we do. I read somewhere that a shining light from the top of the ceiling down on a staircase will ward off any ill effects. Since we live in an apartment, I am unable to use this fix. Can you suggest anything else? We are also starting a new business together.

Put an Obelisk in your Money corner, and you should be successful.

We are moving into a house that is a split-level with a garage attached. We will use the garage door, rather than the front door to enter our home. The front of the house and garage face East. My birthday is September 26, 1962. And my partner’s is January 21, 1963. I need to know what is considered the front door on each level. Do I start the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels at the stairway/hallway opening or do you do each level as the house sits East and West? The first level has the living room, dining, and kitchen areas. Going upstairs to the North (behind the garage), are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Going downstairs from the kitchen and beneath the bedroom is the “3rd level – North, again. This has a family room, den, and laundry/bathroom. Downstairs from this level and beneath the kitchen (you’re going South downstairs) is our office area and furnace room. Is it better to do each room separately?

You do everything by using the first-floor entrance. That is where you set the Ba-Qua for all floors.

I enjoy reading your website. My husband’s and my Kua number is “1.” My bedroom is in the West – headboard is also West. What color should I paint the bedroom?

Blue color will help for all bedrooms.

I live in Brazil with my husband and daughter. I was born August 1, 1959; my husband on July 27, 1960; our daughter was born November 12, 1989. We have a nice relationship – we’re in good health, but would like to improve two points. First, my husband and his partner have a small leather accessories business; they work a lot, but the money is enough only to pay the suppliers, taxes, and employees – we never get our profit. Second, there is no way to have my daughter sleep in her bedroom – she always comes to our bed. Because of this, we’re having a very poor sexual life. We live in a 2-bedroom apartment, #72; the building number is 620. Our front door faces North, and it’s in the lower Left corner; my daughter’s bedroom is on the far Right corner, and my bedroom is at the lower Right corner. There is a small bathroom that opens to the laundry on the wall behind my husband’s head when in bed. This bathroom is used only by our part-time maid, and it’s always clean and organized – it has some shelves and it’s also used as a deposit. The main bathroom is between my bedroom and the kitchen. There is a computer in my bedroom, but when not in use, it stays inside our closet with the doors closed. I feel we need only a little help to solve our problems.

Put a night light in your daughter’s bedroom. Put angels hanging from ceiling to protect her. She will get used to sleeping in her own room. If your sex life improves, so will your money.

We want to find out how to make a better health flow in our house and whether there’s a way to make it so that money could come to us.

Put Orange accents on your Family/Health wall. Put an Obelisk in your Money corner.

My finance (March 14, 1970) and I (July 13, 1973) have our bed on the East wall – there is a window on the North wall, and the doorway sits at the South wall, which is across from the bathroom. Our condo building faces North, but our entry door faces East, and our address is 31. Our money/luck is not very good, and the romance in our relationship has fizzled. Any suggestions?

Add a “3” and a “1” to your address with clear nail polish and add a Pink heart to your Relationship corner.   Click on this link to find out more about the meanings of numbers and how to fix them,  http://www.artofplacement.com/FengShui/numbers.htm

In the living room – with the front door to the East and the fireplace to the Southwest – is the Chi flowing when the furniture, plant, and aquarium are in the center of the room? Please make suggestions. I have covered the back door and put a round mirror over the glass part. Where is the Marriage corner?

The Marriage corner is the farthest Right-hand corner from the front entrance. Your furniture works as long as the back to chairs or couch doesn’t face the room entrance.

I’ve noticed that I’ve been ill quite often with colds and anxiety, but – mainly – hair loss since October of 1998. I placed family pictures, health books, a crystal, and a Red tassel above the toilet with the seat and drain closed at all times. I don’t’ know what else to do, as I stated in my affirmation that I have healthy hair. Please advise.

You are probably suffering from an overactive Thyroid. Meditation helped in the cases of friends. They only had hair loss and problems when they were stressed. When they gave up fear, they had no symptoms. I am not a doctor; this is what I would do.

Please, where can I find the Feng Shui ruler with the dimensions or measurements I should use in my stationery to reach success and wealth in my business? Thank you and regards from Brazil.

Put a Rising Sun on the Left side of your stationery, and you should be successful.
