I have some questions regarding the application of Feng Shui to a home that is
being built for us. While I have finished the intermediate lessons of a Feng Shui
correspondence course (by Master Joseph Yu), I still have some questions regarding its
proper application to the structure, and Master Yu is a little vague in his e-mail
responses.
Using the compass school of Feng Shui, my master bedroom incorporates three palaces. They
are the Mountain Palace (Northeast - unfortunate H3), the Water Palace (North - fortunate
F2), and the Heaven Palace (Northwest -unfortunate H2). This bedroom is located at the
front of the house, whose front door faces North at 18 degrees (i.e., North Northeast). I
am Life-Gua #3, my partner is Life-Gua #1. The problem is, I don't know what the ideal
color for a carpet would be?
Because the Heaven Palace (located Northwest H2, containing the unfortunate metallic H1
star) is unfortunate, I understand I must counter its metallic energy by using either the
Tree (woody) and/or Water elements. Is this correct? However, the fortunate Water Palace
(located North F2, containing the fortunate metallic star F3) is in the same room and
should be supported by using the metallic elements and reinforced by more watery elements.
The room also contains an unfortunate Mountain Palace (located Northeast, containing an
unfortunate earthy H4 star) which needs to be countered using Tree (woody) and water
elements.
Master Yu indicated that I should choose any neutral colored carpeting, but this is too
vague as most neutral colors suggest a hint of a more definite color, no matter how
neutral they appear. I would like a light colored off-white with a hint of pink for
warmth, but this tone may suggest fire which is counter production to balancing H3 and H2
using the Tree (woody) element and may enhance the energy of the unfortunate metallic
Heaven palace, where I hope to put my bed (facing F2).
Which colors would be best to enhance for carpeting and perhaps even walls?
Do not use pink shades in your carpet. Use a brown tone, and you should be fine.
Add a fountain in your room with a light on it.
I have just started reading about Feng Shui, so I'm completely ignorant when it
comes to this style of design. For the first time in my life I've had a terrible time
getting a job. People don't even return my phone calls. I know that I am qualified for all
the jobs that I am applying for, but still I'm at a stand still. Please help.

I am leaving in the Cyprus in the building( No 45) on the sea side, but main
entrance faces W, meaning that sea is at the back of the building. My flat is on the third
floor No 31,door SW. I am missing new knowledge corner, two toilets are in the center of
the flat, one room E, master bedroom SE, in the corridor I have mirror tiles on the
wardrobe which I can not move (flat is rented), and they are reflecting directly to one of

Take your mirror tiles out of your home - they are big trouble. They cut up your life in all

We were told once that spider plants are not a harmonious plant to have in your
house because the offshoots multiply one's troubles, and the long spiky leaves represent
swords. Having always loved spider plants, I'm horrified at the thought that I am putting
bad luck all over my house. Is this true? And if so, is there some cure short of getting
rid of the plants? My friend, Jan, & I are anxious to hear your answer.

I have been involved with Feng Shui for about 1 year. After a recent move--we are
experiencing car problems--there have been several accidents and/or breakdowns with my
car, my husband's car, as well as a rental car which we are using while waiting for
repairs. Should I look for a cure in my health area or my garage, or could the problem be

I have a little downstairs room in my house which serves as a storage place.
It's pretty messy and it falls in my relationship corner in the Ba-Qua. Is there
any way I can make it so only the upstairs bit counts. (Sorry if that's confusing.) Also,
when I am using the Ba-Qua on the outer walls of my home, do I include the backyard?
You have to clean up that messy room to improve your relationships. You have a Ba-Qua in your yard, too, so treat the house first, then the yard.
The Feng Shui, as I understood is related to places and positioning. My father, an
independent impressario, has lost consistently, since 1985, his assets and money, and
seems that ever since he is continuing to lose even
when he sometimes earns something. What may be the continuous problem, due to the fact
that he moved private and office addresses a few times since? I will appreciate to have
your reply or a recommendation for an Israeli Feng
Shui expert.

is appreciated. My husband and I are physicians, and we've become fascinated with Feng
Shui. We were wondering if Feng Shui could be used
geographically, for example, on the continent of South America, Colombia is located on the
wealth corner. Can this be used this way? If so, Alaska may well be one of the richest
states of the U.S. That same corner in Colombia
has the largest gold mines in the world, which due to the perpetual violence we suffer
here have not been able to help the country very much. The U.S. flag would be another good

I've noticed that ever since my parents have redone our house 3 months ago, I rarely see much of my friends anymore. They're always busy, and they don't do much with me anymore. I don't get out of the house nearly as much as I used to, and I'd really like to be busy and meet new people again. Also, my mom is trying to prevent me from moving on campus at college this winter. My room has remained unchanged, but the kitchen, located in the health and family area of the house, has been painted white above a chair rail, and green below it; my parents' room, located in the helpful people area of the house, was painted light yellow, with dad's old books lying everywhere. My parents won't let me Feng Shui the inside of the house, except my room, so I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions for my room, which has many pictures of my friends above my bed in the my health/family area, pictures from a trip to the beach in the helpful people/travel area, and the door facing North -- is that bad, considering I was born 4/22/80? Also, do you think I should put wind chimes in the Ba-Qua areas I'd like to fix???
Put the pictures of your friends in the relationship corner. Then place affirmations in a red envelope in your relationship corner with affirmations saying how many friends you have and all the great things you are doing, and you're so thankful.
I have been reading about Feng Shui now for 4 months and find it exciting. I just
bought a house and would like to know what colors would best suit me for prosperity and
all the life stations. My address is 48 Gina court. My DOB is 1/7/53 at 9:00 eastern p.m.
My husband DOB is 8/6/47 at 9:00 eastern a.m. Master bedroom will be beige walls with a
black and beige border. Guest room is yellow walls with blue and yellow accents. Main
bathroom is wallpapered black and beige. Livingroom/dining/up the stairs and den will be
peachy walls with a black and beige border. The small bathroom is still not finished along
with the kitchen. My front door faces Northwest. Please let me know if these colors are

My family seems to be constantly struggling with some form of sickness. I have two daughters, one born 6/6/81 who has just been diagnosed with depression, and the other born 23/9/81 suffers from anxiety and tends to get a lot of colds & flu. Hi there from Perth Western Australia. I have many, many books on Feng Shui,
the principles of which I have put to good use. However I did engage a Feng Shui
consultant who is highly recommended over here to attend to my business
premises. With the changes she suggested things went very well for several weeks and now
business has fallen into a heap. Should I request another consultation with her? She uses
flying star Feng Shui.
Interestingly, she made only very minor adjustments to my home, basically moving a
few plants and paintings. Guess I did a good job on my residence. You appear to have one

Husband born 6/1/24 & my birthdate 8/22/25. Our front door faces N and our
address is 6265. Made some mistakes placing furniture when we moved in 2 years ago but
easily changed. My husband of 45 years is a retired Pharmacist; a publisher just picked up
my book to print in paperback & the Internet so, I am content. I do wonder what is
ahead for our last years, what colors we should surround ourselves in and our family.
Only one of our three children is having problems: Daughter born 3/19/58. Her

working ...always out of money... but the love they have for their son is unmatched. She
gained weight when pregnant and her weight has lost work for her. He would rather stay

You can put a plant in your wealth corner. A bowl with money in it, and affirmation in red
envelope on recurring money. You may put an obelisk there, also. Your messy roommate
affects you subconsciously. You, yourself, have to decide how much it affects you and act
accordingly.
Is wealth corner always southeast or just top left hand corner of living room?
The main wealth corner is the farthest left-hand corner from your entrance door of the house. There also is one at the farthest left-hand corner of each room in the house.
I recently found out about Feng Shui and I redecorated my home on the basis of the
books that I read about it. I must say that I feel much better than before, but still I
have one big problem left which is bothering me a lot and because of which I even have
some health problems. Five months ago I broke up with my boyfriend after 2 years living

Put some plants on the left wall of your house; it is the health wall. Add orange color in spots along the health wall. Make sure there is plenty of light in your house.
When I enter my front door, I have a small square hall. Opposite the front door is
another door that opens into the front room. Is this door affecting the flow of energy
into my house? If it is what can I do to correct this?
You leave the living room door open during the day to allow energy to flow through the house.

We are building a new house, which is pretty much a U shape. Our front door
faces East, and when you enter we have a large lounge area (the bottom of the
"U"), which has full-length windows facing the back courtyard area. Is this bad
energy? All of our living area is on the left side and center with our bedrooms on the
right side of the U. I feel that we have a good flow of energy through the home except for
my son's bedroom, which has a toilet through the wall where his headboard should go. It is
difficult to move the bed, as the opposite wall has full-length windows which face the
street, leaving the only option to put his bed in the middle of the room, which leaves him
little room to play. Do you have any suggestions for me here?

Could you please give me some info on how to position the compass? Is it the North
section always at the front of the drawing? If so, being the main entrance on NW on the
plan for downstairs, when I make a separate plan for
the living room, its door is on the NE. Would that make any difference in arranging
things?
